Minutes of a meeting of Gt. & Lt. Chishill Parish Council held in the village hall on Monday 24th November 2008 at 7.30 pm.
Present: - Cllrs. Gardiner (in the Chair) Dibblee, Cartwright, Murgatroyd and Scott, County Cllr. McCraith and Dist.Cllr. Guest, the Financial Officer and the Clerk, together with 4 members of the public.
1. Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs. Brearley and Erskine.
2. Confirmation of Minutes. The Minutes of the meeting held on 13th October were taken as read, confirmed and signed.
3. Matters arising
Defibrillator - Cllr. Dibblee will report at next meeting when she has more news and information.
Dog Waste Bin. Dist.Cllr. Guest reported that the only way we can obtain an extra bin is to buy one and maintain it ourselves. This action was not felt to be practical.
Trees throughout the village. Cllr. Scott advised the meeting that the Preservation Officer had agreed to our request for extra trees throughout the village, including a Korean fir which could serve as a Christmas tree on the Plaistow each year. The trees would be planted in January. The Parish Council received this news with satisfaction.
Community Aggregates Fund. Cllr. Murgatroyd agreed to apply again for a grant to renovate the lock-up, but reiterated that the cost involved, if the work was to be done as required by the Fund, was extremely high.

Appointment of “Rubbish Warden.” This matter would be referred to again at a future meeting.
White van parked outside No. 24 Hall Lane. Cllr. Scott reported that the van had not returned for a while and the matter would be left in abeyance for the time being.
Appointment of host for village website. As Mrs. Jo Jones had left the village the Chairman would get in touch with Mr. Derek Garwood, who may be prepared to take the job on.

Re Telephone Box. Cllr. Murgatroyd reported that he would get in touch with B.T. (who were responsible for this listed telephone box) for its repair and maintenance.
(B.T. have since repaired the box).
4. Status of Planning Application
Rabbit Sanctuary – retrospective application. After consideration it was agreed that although the P.C. has no objection, it should be noted that the applicant’s home is currently for sale and as it is used for reception purposes there may be a change in circumstances and new arrangements would have to be made.
